In 2019, I set my sights on qualifying for the Paris-Brest-Paris event, and the 400km distance brevet was the next challenge on my list. Despite having ridden the tough but beautiful route by ARA-Muenchen a couple of times before, I was faced with unpredictable weather as the winter route was activated for the first time ever. With the forecast looking grim, I knew I would have to dig deep to conquer the challenging conditions ahead.
