As the Berlin-Munich-Berlin 1,500km brevet loomed on the horizon, I found myself both excited and apprehensive. The event had miraculously survived the wave of cancellations brought on by the pandemic, and I was determined to take on the challenge. With the prospect of exploring new parts of Germany and pushing my limits, I eagerly prepared for the grueling journey ahead. However, with a heatwave on the horizon and my mixed bag of solo training rides, I couldn’t shake the feeling of nervous anticipation. Nevertheless, I was determined to push through and make the most of this unique opportunity.
